Selfie Obsession triggers young people for plastic surgery

There’s nothing wrong with selfie and upload it to social media. If done properly, selfie actually has a positive value that is to improve a person’s self confidence. Through selfie, you can see that you have a cute face, your self confidence will increase.

In fact, not everyone who likes selfie able to attract positive value. Most of them are even more look at their face shortages. The tendency when taking the photograph itself is becoming increasingly narcissistic and want their face to look more perfect.

The obsession to look beautiful and handsome in selfie not only make a lot of people excessively edit their photo. What’s worse in U.S selfie trend spurred the increase in demand for plastic surgery.

The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) revealed that one-third of the 2,700 physician members revealed an increase in demand for plastic surgery in the past year. This is because most people wants to look perfect in selfie and while their uploaded to social media.

Instagram, Snapchat etc, only image-based, indirectly becomes a microscope for your own face. As a result, your eyes and mind become more critical to see your own appearances.

There is no doubt that the photographs become the first impression to establish friendships, romance, and career. So many patients who want to get the best shape of their face, “said Dr. Edward Farrior, President of the AAFPRS.

Dr. Farrior also said that the most popular plastic surgery for women who inspired selfie is a facelift, nose surgery, and botox. Meanwhile, for the men, which is in great demand were botox and hair transplants.

AAFPRS. said that plastic surgery inspired by selfie able to attract people under 30’s.
