New Zealand woman claims found a cockroach in the McDonald Big Mac

McDonald's facing charges after a woman claimed eat a burger containing cockroach that she bought from one of the McDonald's restaurant in the town of Blenheim, New Zealand.

Annah Sophia Stevenson, told the news agency Fairfax New Zealand said last week she bought a Big Mac to take home.

Upon arriving at his residence, Annah eating it and when new spending half the burger, she found a cockroach in it.

"I saw the cockroach's body and there was a hole in the body of the animal," said the 26-year-old woman.

"I had to chew it. I thought I was chewing rather dry meat," Annah said.

Annah did not immediately make a complaint to the restaurant where she bought the food. She even upload photos of Big Mac on Facebook, "saying she felt violated, ill, trauma, and disgusted".

McDonald's management said, one of the restaurant in the town of Blenheim already contacted Annah immediately after knowing the problem through social media.

McDonald's said it has taken the burger and "foreign objects" in it so that it can be done independent testing.

McDonald's management said, the board of trustees of local food health checks directly to the restaurant in Blenheim on Monday (20/04/2015), and did not find any insects or other animals in that place.
