The Hollywood celebrities immediately voiced support for Hillary Clinton (former US first lady) running for US president. The celebrity, especially women, are very pleased with the her decision
Just a few hours after the official Clinton announced her candidacy, the celebrities including Jennifer Lopez, Scarlett Johansson and Magic Johnson immediately welcomed efforts Hillary to be the first female US president in elections in 2016.
In the happy camp are a number of celebrities, who took to social media to voice their support for the former secretary of state. VF.com has embedded some of the tweets and Instagram posts below. Clinton drew support from everyone from 21-year-old pop diva Ariana Grande to 73-year-old legend Carole King, and from RuPaul to Magic Johnson. Amy Poehler, Clay Aiken, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Uzo Aduba were also among fans who showed their support. Even Katy Perry retweeted Clinton.
"I am very happy over the news," said Jennifer Lopez was quoted as saying Eonline. "I think it's time for a woman president," said sexy celebrity as reported by AFP on Tuesday (14/04/2015).
Legendary basketball, Magic Johnson, a strong supporter of the Democratic Party, immediately voiced support for Hillary through posting on his Twitter account.
"I think Hillary Clinton would be a great president for the American people and she will make sure that everyone has a voice!" Johnson's tweet. "Hillary Clinton Will fight for the poor, the middle class and embrace the youth!" Johnson's wrote.
Similar support is delivered by Scarlett Johansson. "It's nice to see Hillary," she said. "I think she's a very good politician," she added.
Lena Dunham, creator and star of famous HBO series, "Girls" also expressed support for the Clinton through her Instagram account.
Similarly, the famous singer and songwriter US, Carole King, who expressed support for Hillary via her Twitter account.
