Brunei Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah has a net worth of 19.5 billion US dollars, live in a palace with 1,700 bedrooms, indulge in the luxury of Western style, and has a reputation for enjoying the beautiful woman.

In a report on the program "60 Minutes" on American television, CBS, audience can see how the Sultan of Brunei live in very luxurious life. But last year the Sultan implement Sharia law in the country.

Alison Langdon of the program "60 Minutes" goes to Brunei with posing as a tourist to see how regimes affect their citizens and spoke with a woman who had been a Sultan's harem (mistresses) to reveal the hypocrisy of the present conditions.

"We tried for six months to gain access and permission to visit Brunei in order to talk with the Sultan, but it was rejected, so in the end we decided to go as a tourist," said Langdon.

She explains, what they found was a beautiful country but suppressed. The people do not ever criticize the royal family, especially because it is a crime, and apparently unaware of Sultan's debauchery and his playboy brother, Prince Jefri.

Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and his brother Prince Jefri has a reputation for spoiling the beautiful women from different countries. In 2011 the magazine Vanity Fair dubbed them "close friend in hedonism" due to their super luxury lifestyle and their hobbies collecting various women like children collecting toys.

Prince Jefri more often on duty abroad. He is alleged to have used funds from the state treasury more than 15 billion US dollars.

According to Jillian Lauren, American woman who talk to "60 Minutes" about spent a year of time together as a harem of Prince Jefri and the Sultan, the two men were indulge many women and they do not care how old these girls.

Lauren became harem when she was 18 years old and when she was there, there were between 30 to 40 other girls, some aged 15 years, "Langdon said." She spent a year there and received a gift of hundreds thousands dollars, jewelry, and clothing. She received good treatment, but that's because she always get attention Sultan's brother, she was Prince Jefri's toy.

Lauren admits had sex hundreds of times with Prince Jefri until the Prince handed her as a gift to Sultan and she (Lauren) can tell in detail about her sexual activity which she did with the Sultan. "

Langdon said, the crew "60 Minutes" spent five days in Brunei. They secretly record, trying to figure out if people feel angry about the new changes. However, they actually found that citizens seem apathetic toward Sharia Law.

Brunei has a population of more than 415,000 people and, according to Forbes magazine, the country is the fifth richest country in the world thanks to huge oil and gas reserves.

Brunei citizens enjoy free health care and education, mostly working in the public sector and none of them criticized the royal family because they are not allowed for it.

When crew of "60 Minutes" go there, they have trouble finding people who are willing to say anything bad whatsoever related to the royal family.

Hollywood celebrities who are fed up with the hypocrisy of the Royal family of Brunei, last year, Hollywood stars, such as Ellen DeGeneres, Jay Leno, Sharon Osborne, Elton John, and entrepreneur Richard Branson, boycotted the famous Beverly Hills Hotel and the luxury Dorchester hotel chain owned by Sultan Brunei as a form of their displeasure. They all promised to shift their business events elsewhere. According to Vanity Fair magazine last year, that attitude is applied by Hollywood celebs.

Langdon said, "Brunei is a really strange place. No one knows about what Sultan and his brother had done. The citizens do not know about the life of royal family, women, sex acts, drinking alcohol and everything, They really do not know anything about it."

Floyd Mayweather overconfident to beat Manny Pacquiao

Thursday, April 30, 2015 Add Comment

Title as the unbeaten boxer, Floyd Mayweather Jr looked at this century's greatest boxing duel against Manny Pacquiao with optimism.

Duel that will be done at the MGM Grand Arena on Saturday (2/5), is expected to generate more than 300 million pounds for the two boxers. Percentage, Mayweather get more that 60:40.

"I never lose. I do not know what it means and how to lose. But only time a boxer experiencing it, no doubt it will always be in his mind," said Mayweather.

"Everything I do has been taken into account. In fact continue to make the world waiting for this match, which may only be worth US $ 60 million if done five years ago."

Furthermore, Mayweather also criticized his opponent's boxing style, which he considered far different from his style.

"The way I fight make my body will not too received a lot of punches," said Mayweather. "But Pacquiao was sloppy."

"I also like to make the audience excited, but if I'm careless I now must have been exhausted. In addition if you take the risk of receiving a lot of punches like him, there will be a further impact in the next life, after boxing career is over."

But former heavy weight champion Mike Tyson has his own opinion about Mayweather,

Mike Tyson thinks Mayweather is "delusional."

"He's very delusional," Tyson told the Undisputed Champion Network earlier this week when asked of Mayweather's statement. "Listen, if he was anywhere near that realm of great Ali, he'd be able to take his kids to school by himself. He can't take his kids to school by himself and he's talking about he's great?

"Greatness is not guarding yourself from the people, greatness is being accepted by the people. He can't take his kids alone to school by himself. He's a little scared man, he's a very small, scared man."

Tyson reiterated his stance in a much more succinct manner to USA Today at Wednesday's press conference for Mayweather's megafight with Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas: “The guy is going around saying he is better than Ali. I don’t want to hear that ... .”

If you're starting to get the impression that Tyson doesn't have a very high opinion of Mayweather in general, you are correct. USA Today reported that Tyson was given the opportunity to move closer to the stage at the news conference, but he responded, “I try to stay as far away from dirt as possible.”

The newspaper also quotes Tyson as saying of Mayweather, “I was always told by my mother that if you can’t say anything nice about someone, don’t say nothing” and of his former friendship with the undefeated boxer, “I try not to remember that.”

The result of Saturday's fight with Pacquiao may sway some people's opinions as to whether Mayweather is the greatest of all time. But it seems like it might be hard to change Tyson's mind at this point.

Racial conflict explodes, Baltimore State of Emergency National Guard deployed

BALTIMORE, Maryland– Fifteen police officers were injured during riots on Monday, Col. Darryl D. DeSousa, Baltimore Police chief of patrol, said at a news conference. Two remain hospitalized, and the others have been released, he said. Most were injured by flying debris, according to DeSousa.

Baltimore City Public Schools will be closed Tuesday, according to schools spokeswoman Edie House-Foster.

Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake announced that the city will impose a mandatory curfew from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily, effective for one week starting on Tuesday. She noted that the city already has a mandatory curfew for juveniles. “What we see tonight that is going on in our city is very disturbing,” said Rawlings-Blake. “Too many people have spent generations building up this city for it to be destroyed by thugs who in a very senseless way are trying to tear down what so many have fought for.”

The mayor said it’s not clear whether an enormous fire at a senior center under construction was related to riots Monday night. She said the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Chaos and violence erupted on the streets of Baltimore late Monday as protesters clashed with police. More than two dozen people have been arrested.

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan declared a state of emergency and activated the National Guard.

“This afternoon, a group of outrageous criminals attacked our officers. Right now, we have seven officers that have serious injuries, including broken bones, and one officer who is unconscious,” Capt. Eric Kowalczyk told reporters.

He vowed to find the attackers and put them in jail.

Video showed police in riot gear taking cover behind an armored vehicle, as protesters pelted them with rocks.

At one point, it looked like officers used tear gas. The Baltimore Police Department said it had heard reports of protesters setting small items on fire, and footage showed a cruiser in flames.

Video also showed people looting local stores, and an area CVS Pharmacy was set on fire after it was ransacked. Thick dark smoke filled the streets.

“This is not OK,” Kowalczyk said. “You’re going to see tear gas. You’re going to see pepper balls. We’re going to use appropriate methods to ensure that we’re able to preserve the safety of that community.”

There were no immediate reports of injuries among the protesters. There were also no immediate reports of arrests.

‘Credible threat’ to officers

Earlier in the day, the Baltimore Police Department said it had received a “credible threat” that gangs were teaming up to “take out” officers.

It did not say where the information came from, nor did it say whether the threat was tied to the recent death of Freddie Gray. Gray died in police custody under circumstances that remain unclear.

The family of Freddie Gray condemned the violence that spread across Baltimore after his funeral on Monday.

“I want y’all to get justice for my son, but don’t do it like this here,” his mother told journalists.

Gray’s twin sister, Fredericka, also denounced the riots.

“I don’t think that’s for Freddie,” she said. “I think the violence is wrong.”

His death has sparked ongoing protests in Baltimore and raised long-simmering tensions between police and residents.

“The Baltimore Police Department/Criminal Intelligence Unit has received credible information that members of various gangs including the Black Guerilla Family, Bloods, and Crips have entered into a partnership to ‘take out’ law enforcement officers,” police said. “This is a credible threat.”

Maryland State Police have ordered an additional 40 troopers to Baltimore to join the 42 troopers already sent there Monday afternoon to assist city police. Since last Thursday, more than 280 state troopers have provided assistance in Baltimore.

“Today’s looting and acts of violence in Baltimore will not be tolerated,” said Gov. Hogan. “There is a significant difference between protesting and violence, and those committing these acts will be prosecuted under the fullest extent of the law.”

Separately, President Barack Obama met with Attorney General Loretta Lynch at the White House, just hours after she was sworn in.

“Attorney General Lynch assured the President that she would continue to monitor events in Baltimore and that the Department of Justice stands ready to provide any assistance that might be helpful there,” said a statement from the White House.

‘They don’t deserve this’

Monday’s violence came the same day as Gray’s funeral. The 25-year-old was arrested on April 12 and died one week later from a fatal spinal cord injury.

“I am sure that the family is concerned, and I am positive that they are against what is beginning to develop here in town,” said Billy Murphy, an attorney for the Gray family.

“They don’t deserve this any more than Freddie Gray deserved it,” he said about the injured officers.

Because of the violence, the Baltimore Orioles have postponed their home game against the Chicago White Sox on Monday, the team announced via Twitter. At first, the team planned to go ahead with the game, but delayed it after further talks with the Police Department. A new date for the game will be announced later.

Over the weekend, a few protesters vandalized police cars, threw objects at officers, cursed at them and scuffled with them.

About a dozen young men smashed squad cars with garbage cans, climbed on top of them and stomped on them, CNN video showed.

“This has got to the point, this is not about Gray right now. It’s reactionary,” a Baltimore resident and protester said on Monday. “You can only put so much into a pressure cooker before it pop.”

Indonesia requested foreign embassies to visit death row inmates in drug cases this week

Saturday, April 25, 2015 Add Comment

Indonesia has asked foreign embassies to send representatives to the prison island of Nusakambangan this weekend to visit the prisoners awaiting the death penalty for drug smuggling.

It is unknown when the 9th foreign prisoners and an Indonesian citizen would face a firing squad, but the government has not given notice 72 hours for execution, as required by law.

Among the drugs convict is a citizen of Australia, Brazil, France, and Nigeria. Indonesia tough stance regarding the death penalty for drug trafficking had disrupted relations with all these countries.

President Joko Widodo is a strong supporter the execution againts drug traffickers, and said the country is facing a state of emergency drugs.

In January, Indonesia executed six people guilty of drug smuggling.

Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said Indonesia had notified her government that the executions of the two Australian men would be "scheduled imminently."

"Nothing can be gained and much will be lost if these two young Australians are executed," she said in a statement, urging clemency and that legal challenges still outstanding should be heard.

Meanwhile, a temporary reprieve was granted to Serge Atlaoui, a French citizen also imprisoned on drug charges, a French embassy official said on Saturday. It was not clear why his execution was postponed.

"We remain extremely cautious. Everything can change from one day to the next," said Richard Sedillot, Atlaoui's lawyer. "I am torn between an extreme sadness to learn that other [people] condemned could be executed and the relief to learn that the man I was defending for eight years could at this stage be spared."

Marches in support of Atlaoui took place Saturday in Paris and Metz, eastern France, his hometown. France has told Indonesia the execution could damage relations, while Australia has pleaded repeatedly for clemency for Chan and Sukumaran.

"I again respectfully call on the president of Indonesia to reconsider his refusal to grant clemency. It is not too late for a change of heart," Bishop said.

Outside the maximum-security prison of Nusakambangan, an Australian diplomat and a lawyer for the two men displayed a self-portrait painted by Sukumaran to reporters. On the back was written: "The 72 hours just started."

Pushpa Das, a laborer, ran from his house when the first quake struck but could not escape a collapsing wall that injured his arm.

"It was very scary. The earth was moving … I am waiting for treatment but the (hospital) staff is overwhelmed," he said, gingerly holding his right arm with his left hand. As he spoke, dozens of people showed up with injuries, mostly from falling bricks.

In Winchester, Va,, Kriti Hada, a 20-year-old nursing student from Nepal who is attending Shenandoah University, said her sister in Nepal managed to get through by phone.

Although she, her mother and another sister were unhurt, they were frightened by the intensity and duration of the aftershocks, which are continuing, Hada said.

Hada said her relatives, like hundreds of others who survived the initial quake, were remaining out of doors until the seismic activity ceases. "We have very limited open spaces and they are surrounded by tall buildings that are also fragile," Hada said.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi called a meeting of top government officials to review the damage and disaster preparedness in parts of India that felt strong tremors. Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif offered "all possible help" that Nepal may need.

Within hours, an Indian Air Force C-130 landed at at Katmandu's airport with 39 disaster relief workers and 3.5 metric tons of supplies, according to a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense.

A senior mountaineering guide, Ang Tshering, said an avalanche swept the face of Everest after the earthquake, and government officials said at least 30 people were injured.

Tshering of the Nepal Mountaineering Association said the avalanche apparently occurred between the Khumbu Icefall, a rugged area of collapsed ice and snow, and the base camp, where most climbing expeditions have their main camps.

7.9-magnitude earthquake hit Nepal More Than 108 People dead

Saturday, April 25, 2015 Add Comment

BREAKING NEWS – A powerful earthquake struck Nepal Saturday, leaving at least 108 people dead, as the violently shaking earth collapsed houses, leveled centuries-old temples and triggered avalanches in the Himalayas. It is the worst temblor to hit the nation in more than 80 years.

The quake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.9 struck the country before noon and was severely felt in the capital as well as the densely-populated Kathmandu Valley. A magnitude-6.6 aftershock hit about an hour later, and smaller tremors continued to ripple through the region for hours.

The Home Ministry initially said in a statement that 71 people were killed in Nepal, but did not give any more details. One Chinese citizen was killed on the border, two Bangladesh and six in Tibet in the quake. Dozens of others were being brought to the main hospital in Kathmandu.

One laborer, Pashpa Das, ran from the house when the first quake struck but could not escape because a wall collapsed, injuring his arm.

"It was very scary. The earth was moving ... I am waiting for treatment but the (hospital) staff is overwhelmed," he said, gingerly holding his right arm with his left hand. As he spoke dozens of more people showed up with injuries, mostly from falling bricks.

The earthquake also shook several cities across northern India, and was felt as far away as Lahore in Pakistan, Lhasa in Tibet and in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

China said two of its citizens were killed at the Nepal-China border. Television reports from Bangladesh said two people were killed and about 100 were injured. The Tibetan government said at least 30 people were injured.

A senior mountaineering guide, Ang Tshering, said an avalanche swept the face of Mt. Everest after the earthquake, and government officials said at least 30 people were injured.

Tshering of the Nepal Mountaineering Association said the avalanche apparently occurred between the Khumbu Icefall, a rugged area of collapsed ice and snow, and the base camp where most climbing expeditions have their main camps.

The quake’s epicenter was 50 miles northwest of Kathmandu and it had a very shallow depth of 7 miles. The shallower the quake the more destructive power it carries.

As the ground began to shake, several buildings collapsed in the center of the capital, the ancient Old Kathmandu, including centuries-old temples and towers, said resident Prachanda Sual.

Among them was the Dharahara Tower, one of Kathmandu's landmarks built by Nepal's royal rulers in the 1800s and a UNESCO-recognized historical monument. It was reduced to rubble and there were reports of people trapped underneath.

The Kathmandu Valley is densely populated with nearly 2.5 million people, and the quality of buildings is often poor.

While the extent of the damage and the scale of the disaster are yet to be ascertained, the quake will likely put a huge strain on the resources of this poor country best known for Everest, the highest mountain in the world. The economy of Nepal, a nation of 27.8 million people, is heavily dependent on tourism, principally trekking and Himalayan mountain climbing.

Robin Trygg, a climber was in the basecamp on the Cho Oyu mountain at an altitude of 18,480 feet when he felt the quake.

"We were sitting in the tent and drinking tea when all of a sudden the earth began shaking. We didn't understand what happened," he told the Swedish news agency TT by telephone.

Dozens of people gathered outside in the parking lot of Kathmandu’s Norvic International Hospital, where thin mattresses had been spread on the ground for patients rushed outside. Some patients were wearing hospital pajamas, while doctors and nurses treated people.

The U.S. Geological Survey revised the magnitude from 7.5 to 7.9 and said the quake hit at 11:56 a.m. local time at Lamjung a shallow depth of 7 miles. An earthquake's magnitude increases by 10 times with each increase in the number. A magnitude 7 quake is capable of widespread and heavy damage while an 8 magnitude quake can cause tremendous damage.

India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi called a meeting of top government officials to review the damage and disaster preparedness in parts of India that felt strong tremors. The Indian states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Sikkim, which share a border with Nepal, have reported building damage. There have also been reports of damage in the northeastern state of Assam.

Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif offered "all possible help" that Nepal may need.

Former CIA director, Retired Gen David H. Petraeus sentenced 2 years probation and fine for high-level military leaks

Friday, April 24, 2015 Add Comment

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Former U.S. military commander and CIA director David Petraeus will appear in federal court in North Carolina on Thursday to face sentencing for allegedly leaking secrets to a mistress who was writing his biography.

Petraeus, a now-retired U.S. Army General, has already agreed to plead guilty to a criminal misdemeanor charge of unauthorized removal and retention of classified material.

As part of the agreement with prosecutors filed in March, the government will not seek any prison time. Instead, Petraeus will agree to pay a $40,000 fine and receive two years of probation, according to court documents.

The recommendations are not binding on the federal judge who will preside at the hearing Thursday afternoon in Charlotte.

Petraeus, who served stints as the top U.S. commander in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, resigned from the CIA in 2012 after it was revealed that he was having an affair with the biographer, Army Reserve officer Paula Broadwell.

A court document signed by Petraeus and prosecutors says that in 2011, before he became the CIA director, the four-star general illegally gave Broadwell access to binders, known as "black books," that included classified information.

He also is accused of improperly storing classified materials at his residence and falsely telling the FBI in October 2012 that he had not shared any classified information with Broadwell.

Petraeus' lawyer, David Kendall, had no comment ahead of the plea and sentencing hearing.

Civil liberties and government transparency advocates say the government's lenient treatment of Petraeus suggests prosecutors maintain double standards. Other leak case defendants have received harsher punishments, such as former CIA officer John Kiriakou, who was sent to prison.

Ben Wizner, an American Civil Liberties Union lawyer who represents former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden, said he was not against lighter sentences for people involved in leaking, so long as such treatment is handed out equally.

"The problem is not that David Petraeus is getting lenient treatment," Wizner said. "The problem is that lenient treatment is only available to people in high places."

Indonesia confirmed immediately executed 10 inmates on death row in drug cases

Friday, April 24, 2015 Add Comment

Indonesian Attorney General's Office said on Thursday (23/4) they hope to soon announce the date of the execution group of convicted drug after  the Indonesian Supreme Court rejected reviews filed of all prisoners, except one of them.

More than 10 death row inmates who would face the firing squad are foreigners, and the case has strained relations between the government of Australia, France and Brazil.

The 10 inmates, from Australia, France, Ghana, the Philippines, Brazil, Nigeria and Indonesia, had their petitions for clemency denied by President Joko Widodo in late 2014.

The executions, which will be carried out by firing squad, were planned for earlier this year but were postponed after several inmates filed separate legal challenges.

"We hope the Supreme Court decision in the latter case will be achieved as soon as possible so that we can determine the execution date soon," said Tony Spontana, a spokesman for the Attorney General's office. One more appeal pending is local citizen.

On Tuesday, the Indonesian Supreme Court rejected reviews filed by French national Serge Atlaoui and Ghanaian Martin Anderson.

Philippine Vice President Jejomar Binay met with Vice President Jusuf Kalla on the sidelines of the Asian-African Conference in Jakarta this week to ask for forgiveness for the convict of the Philippines.

"This is a demand on the basis of humanitarian considerations," said Binay told reporters on Thursday.

But when asked whether the diplomatic relations between the two countries would be damaged if the execution persists, he said, "I doubt it."

French President Francois Hollande warned Indonesia, on Wednesday, that the execution would damage relations between the two countries, according to various media reports.

The Australian Government has repeatedly asked for forgiveness for their nationals, Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumara, but Indonesia's President Joko Widodo not budge.

In this year, there have been six convicted drug cases in Indonesia were put to death.

Obama apologizes and responsible for the deaths of US and Italian hostages due to Drone strike

Friday, April 24, 2015 Add Comment

U.S. drone strike in January targeting an al Qaeda compound in Pakistan near the Afghan border inadvertently killed an American and an Italian who had been held hostage for years by the group, U.S. officials said on Thursday.

President Barack Obama apologized and took "full responsibility" for all counterterrorism operations, including this one.

The deaths were a setback for the long-running U.S. drone strike program that has targeted Islamist militants in Pakistan, Afghanistan and elsewhere, and has often drawn criticism in those countries and from civil liberties groups in the United States.

Killed in the January drone strike were aid workers Warren Weinstein, an American held by al Qaeda since 2011, and Giovanni Lo Porto, an Italian who went missing in Pakistan in 2012, as well as Ahmed Farouq, an American who was an al Qaeda leader, U.S. officials said.

Adam Gadahn, an American al Qaeda member who was charged with treason in the United States, was also killed in a separate strike on another al Qaeda camp five days later, the officials said.

Obama said he had ordered a full review of the matter to ensure such mistakes are not repeated.

"I profoundly regret what happened. On behalf of the United States government, I offer our deepest apologies to the families," Obama told reporters at the White House.

Republican House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner and other lawmakers called such a review appropriate but steered clear of criticizing the drone program. Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, a Republican who is often a fierce critic of the Democratic president, said Gadahn and Farouq "got what they deserved."

U.S. officials said the drone strikes occurred inside Pakistan in the conflict-torn border region near Afghanistan. One official said the CIA had observed the compounds over some time but had no idea hostages were present.

Use of unmanned drones, which enable the United States to carry out counterterrorism operations without putting U.S. personnel directly in harm's way, has prompted criticism because of the deaths of civilians and because on occasion they have involved killing Americans abroad without judicial process.

The American Civil Liberties Union said the government should better follow its own standards before launching drone strikes. "In each of the operations acknowledged today, the U.S. quite literally didn’t know who it was killing," said Jameel Jaffer, the ACLU's deputy legal director.

Lo Porto's mother told reporters in Palermo, Sicily: "I don't want to talk, leave me alone in my grief."

Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, speaking in Brussels, said, "I have much appreciated the transparency of the United States in taking their responsibilities for what happened and the way Obama communicated what happened."

Hundreds of thousands of people come to Yerevan, to commemorate the genocide, an event that has created dissent among the countries involved and their allies.

Turkey says Armenians were killed in battle during the Civil War where they were assisted by the Russians. Turkey says the number killed is far below the 1.5 million people. Turkey formally protest any country that calls genocide of Armenian

US President Barack Obama issued a statement on Thursday, where he was commemorating the act of murder which he called a "terrible carnage and violence," but do not call it a genocide.

The statement angered groups of US-Armenian friendship, who commented that Obama should take a firmer stance. On Thursday, German President Joachim Gauck for the first time to call it a genocide, while recognizing that Germany bears some responsibility.

Gauck said worship services at the Cathedral of Berlin that as a wartime ally of the Ottoman Empire, the Germans participated in planning and execution deportation of Armenians.

"Women, men, children, and elderly expelled walk towards death, without shelter or food to the desert, burned alive, chased, beaten and shot to death," he said. "Crimes were planned and calculated perpetrated against the Armenians for one reason, because they are Armenians."

U.S federal judge orders controversial ads Muslims killing Jews run on NYC's Metropolitan Transportation

Wednesday, April 22, 2015 Add Comment

US federal judge issued a decision to display a number of controversial advertisement that refers the Muslim killing Jews on New York city buses and subways.

New York Transportation Authority (MTA) rejected the ads, saying it could lead to terrorism and violence. But Judge John Koeltl rejected that argument and said the ad is protected by the US Constitution, which exalts the principle of freedom of speech.

Advertising was financed on behalf of the American Freedom Defense Initiative and has been posted on a number of public transportation in Chicago and San Francisco.

In the ad shows a man with his head and face were covered with scarves threatening, there is next to relevant excerpts from the music video Palestinian militant group Hamas.

The quote reads "Killing Jews is Worship that draws us close to Allah" and then states, "That's His Jihad. What's yours?"

Koeltl said he was "sensitive" to the security concerns, but noted that the MTA and Chairman Thomas Prendergast "underestimate the tolerant quality of New Yorkers and overestimate the potential impact of these fleeting advertisements. It strains credulity to believe that New Yorkers would be incited to violence by ads that did not incite residents of Chicago and San Francisco."

MTA buses and subways are often forums for policy debates. The agency has accepted other ads from the American Freedom Defense Initiative, which is characterized as an anti-Muslim group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Koeltl delayed enforcing his preliminary injunction by 30 days so the MTA could decide whether to appeal.

Adam Lisberg, an MTA spokesman, said: "We are disappointed in the ruling and are reviewing our options." The ad includes a disclaimer that its display does not imply an MTA endorsement.

The MTA said the ad did not meet standards it adopted in 2012 after a judge, in another lawsuit by the American Freedom Defense Initiative, said its earlier ban on ads that demeaned people based on race or religion violated the First Amendment.

Koeltl, however, said the MTA did not show that the latest ad could prompt imminent violence, noting that none occurred in Chicago and San Francisco, or that New York City should be treated differently because it is a more prominent terrorism target.

The American Freedom Defense Initiative, led by the controversial activist and blogger Pamela Geller. The organization was registered as an anti-Muslim group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, a group of civil rights activists.

Amnesty International urges the EU to end migrant boat disaster

Wednesday, April 22, 2015 Add Comment

Amnesty International Righ on Wednesday (22/4) urged European leaders in order to start a humanitarian effort to end the migrant boat sinking tragedy has risen dramatically in the Mediterranean Sea.

In a report released in Paris, Amnesty International calls maritime disaster was embarrassing for Europe. Amnesty urges EU heads of state will meet in Brussels on Thursday to immediately authorize humanitarian operations with more ships, aircraft and other resources to patrol the Mediterranean Sea and save migrants when their lives are threatened.

Amnesty International petition that appears while European authorities continue to investigate how migrant boat from Libya to the island of Lampedusa, southern Italy, capsized a few days ago, about 900 people drowned and only 28 rescued.

Italian prosecutors say that the Tunisian boat captain, who had been arrested, accidentally bumping Portuguese container ships that came to the rescue effort.

John Dalhuisen, Amnesty director for Europe and Central Asia, said, "negligence Europe to save thousands of migrants and refugees who experienced the dangers in the Mediterranean Sea is similar to the fire department refused to save people jumping from the flames."

Many EU countries still believe search and rescue operations alone will not solve the problem, and more must be done to fight traffickers, who have taken advantage of lawlessness in Libya to set up operations that spirited 170,000 migrants across the sea last year.

One proposal the leaders will discuss is a military and civilian mission to capture and destroy the traffickers' boats.

"We know where the boats are, where the smugglers gather together the people who are fleeing," Italian Defence Minister Roberta Pinotti told Italy's SkyTG24 television.

EU officials have drawn comparisons with operations to crack down on Somali pirates.

"We are determined to destroy their business model," one senior EU official said, saying states would make "surgical", intelligence-based operations once legal issues, including a possible U.N. mandate, had been addressed.

"We are not talking about war," he stressed. "No one is talking about boots on the ground."

The leaders will also discuss a pilot project to resettle 5,000 to 10,000 refugees from Mediterranean countries to other EU states, the senior diplomat said. The United Nations estimates 36,000 have made the voyage so far this year.

On Wednesday, Italy's coast guard said it had rescued 220 migrants on Wednesday taken from two large rubber boats about 40 miles from the Libyan coast.

Another 545, most of them without even a pair of shoes, were taken to Salerno, just south of Naples. A further 446, mostly of Egyptian, Syrian, Sudanese, Somali and Eritrean origin, arrived in eastern Sicily after being rescued from a fishing boat.

Sandra Bullock was named the world's most beautiful woman in 2015 by People magazine on Wednesday and laughed when she heard about the honor.

"No, really. I just said, 'That's ridiculous,'" she told the magazine.

Bullock, 50, who won a best actress Academy Award in 2010 for her role in "The Blind Side," said she found beauty in her role as a mother to her 5-year-old son, Louis.

"Real beauty is quiet. Especially in this town, it's just so hard not to say, 'Oh, I need to look like that," she said about Los Angeles. "The people I find most beautiful are the ones who aren't trying."

Bullock also credits her healthy diet, including green juice, and working out up to five times a week for helping to keep her grounded and balanced.

But it is her son who gives her the most joy.

When Louis asked her why she had wrinkles, Bullock told him some of the lines on her face were from laughing so much.

"You're not old, you're just happy," she quoted him as replying.

Bullock follows other Hollywood stars such as Lupita Nyong'o, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez and Julia Roberts who have received the honor in previous years of the magazine's annual beautiful people issue.

Bullock will be providing the voice of a super villain in the upcoming 3D computer-animated comedy film "Minions."

The special issue of the magazine will hit newsstands on Friday.
