Vocal cord hemorrhage suffered by Sam Smith to make it to cancel concerts in several countries. British famous singer, Sam Smith, informed them through his instagram account that he will undergo vocal cord surgery and needed a break for 6-8 weeks for recovery.
"To all: I am very disappointed to tell you all that I have tried hard to make my vocal cords better conditions for 10 days. But unfortunately, my vocal cords had not recovered completely and I had to skip the stage of the operation. I am very sorry to have missed concerts and events should be held. The doctors said that I would be able to return to normal activities within 6-8 weeks. I already can not wait to sing for you, "wrote Smith in his official instagram account on Thursday (05/08/2015) then.
Smith added, that after the operation he was not allowed to speak for more than three weeks, for the recovery of the vocal cords.
"Bad news. Next week I'll have surgery and I was nervous. However, with the rest for eight weeks after surgery, I will again be able to sing as before, so this surgery is very useful. I apologize to all. I fear next month, that I should not be talking about it for three weeks post-surgery, "
Sam Smith has canceled scheduled performances in Australia, Japan, and the Philippines. With the current conditions, he was also forced to cancel a concert schedule which is located in Paris and Monaco which was scheduled to be held in June. Even so, his concert schedule in July and August so far still remain valid.
